Performance anxiety unfortunately is a normal experience for most musicians. Try this little trick of saying the alphabet backwards in your head to switch mental circuits and steer away from the uncomfortable experience of performance anxiety. Alternately, try spelling words backwards in your mind for the same effect of calming the mind.
