I also have a some words to say to you heart to heart:
We may never meet face to face but we are still connected in our passion to pass on the magic, marvel and mysteries of playing a musical instrument.
I have taught for over 20 years and at every moment of this journey I have felt engaged with the creative challenge of unlocking the latent potential of each student. This website represents a culmination of my teaching, playing and composing and is my creative outlet where I come to connect with other like minded people.
Your success is very important to me! I know the highs and lows of living the life as a musician and educator. I know first hand what it is like to forge a place in society faced with constant budget cuts for the arts, juggle multiple teaching and performing jobs to the point of burnout and struggle with financially supporting myself as a single person and small business owner.
My hopes for all teachers coming here are that this website nourishes your soul in the committed and sincere work you do for our world. I felt compelled to create the many resources offered here to help keep your teaching fresh, add to your knowledge of pedagogy and support you as a professional.
I hope that Music for Young Violinists supports you in attracting students and growing your studio so that your career is financially sustainable for you and your family and that this allows your gifts to be fully of service to your community. Although intangible, invisible and ethereal, music is vital to our human experience. Music and the learning process attached to it are beautiful and beauty connects us to truth. We are all searching for a higher truth to make sense of this intricate world and music plays an integral role in connecting us to this truth. Thank you for the work you do in the world.
