The Violinist Athlete and Injury Prevention with Dr. Victor Lin Dr. Victor Lin, is physiatrist with the Rehabilitation Medicine Associates of Eugene, gifted educator and parent of a talented young violinist. He created this concise presentation The Violinist Athlete and Injury Prevention specifically for teenage violinists to inform them about the potential injuries violinists are prone to getting and to offer solutions for preventing these injuries. I suggest making these videos a required viewing assignment for any of your teenage students who are practicing more than 1 hour a day to help them have healthy and long violin careers. Great reminders and ideas I hadn't thought of; especially helpful for older, adult students!

Thank you so much for this. I wish our teachers knew about this when we were starting since I developed some bad habits and thus suffered from some of the injuries mentioned here. My husband is a guitarist and now can't play because of tendonitis. Thanks a lot for sharing this video.

Thank you Maria. I have had so many challenges with physical pain and playing to the point of moving in a new career direction. I wish for my students to avoid these and hope this presentation helps in that wish. If you want a worksheet for your students to follow along with please send me an email. Heather
